Wear surgical gloves and a mask, clean gloved hands in 70% Isopropyl alcohol. Use an alcohol wipe to sanitise your injection port for 30 seconds. Now flame sterilise your needle red hot and then use a wipe to cool the needle. Alternatively, dispense a small quantity of culture or spore solution into something nearby, this will also cool your needle enough to inject the bag. Inject 3-5ml into the grain (depending os size of grain bag) Gently agitate the grain being very careful not to tear the bag… Even better, use a homemade glove box to carry out the above procedure. Make one easily from a clear plastic tote/storage box, cut out 2 hand holes, spray down inside and out with diluted bleach (5%bleach : 95%water) or 70% isopropyl alcohol.
