Containing 50% vermiculite and 50% coco coir with added gypsum to adjust the pH. This premium mushroom substrate is pre-pasteurized, hydrated and ready to use right out of the bag. This product is sealed in filter patch mushroom bag and can be stored in the fridge for up to 14 days. If you need more time, it can be stored in the freezer and then thawed out before use.

Each substrate bag is sealed first and then pasteurized at >75ºC for 130 minutes in an automated computer controlled pasteuriser.
 
Simply add your colonised grain spawn and watch it flourish. You can expect higher yields using this technique compared to fruiting on BRF cakes in exchange for the extra little step in the process of making spawn - it's well worth it!

Fruit this substrate once it is fully colonised by exposing the block to fresh air and high humidity or use the monotub method widely explained on the internet. Our monotub instructions can be found here.
